Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

All aboard!

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is one of the areas most popular attractions.  The trains are lovely, vintage affairs that not only transport you through the beautiful countryside, but also back through time to re-discover the era in which trains were used as a main form of transportation.  Take a day to explore the countryside and cityscape by train, or take a couple of hours to enjoy the train ride itself.

The CVSR has now added an audio tour to the trains as well.  When you get on board you'll find a headset and receiver waiting for you in your seat.  Put them on, sit back, and enjoy the ride!  These receivers are GPS activated so you don't have to worry about pressing buttons or missing a single detail!  Watch the scenery pass as your transported time with the stories of Northeastern Ohio, from the early settlers to the present day.  And, if you climb on board for a round trip, the stories are different when you're heading north from when your heading south.

The audio clips are wonderfully done and similar to what one might find in a large museum.  The difference here is that if you want to get out and explore some of the sites along the way, it's as easy as getting off at the closest station!
