November 1st Update:
OHIO & ERIE CANAL TOWPATH TRAIL Fully REOPENED
Brecksville, Ohio - The National Park Service has reopened the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail from Lock 39 Trailhead in Valley View to Boston Store Visitor Center in the village of Boston. In addition, the Towpath Trail closure for construction from Frazee to Station Road Trailhead has been lifted. Canal Visitor Center remains closed due to lack of power.

OHIO & ERIE CANAL TOWPATH TRAIL Closed in CVNP
Brecksville, Ohio – Please be advised - the National Park Service has closed the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail from Lock 39 Trailhead in Valley View to Botzum Trailhead in Akron to assess damage from the heavy rain and high winds. This is the entire length of the Towpath through Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Please respect all closures and stay away from flooded areas. For information on park road closures or cancellations, call the Public Closure Cancellation Hotline at 440-546-5960.

OHIO & ERIE CANAL TOWPATH TRAIL PARTIALLY REOPENED
Brecksville, Ohio – The National Park Service (NPS) is reopening the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail from Botzum Trailhead in Akron to Boston Store Visitor Center in the Village of Boston. The Towpath Trail from Boston Store Visitor Center north to Lock 39 Trailhead in Valley View remains closed to further assess damage from heavy rains.
