City of Canal Fulton Canalway Center -
The St. Helena III Canal Boat will be brought out of the McLaughlin Dry Dock Thursday, April 25th at 7:30am, with the help of a crane from Lindsay Concrete. The dry dock is located along the historic Ohio & Erie Canal in St. Helena Heritage Park in Canal Fulton, Ohio.
The 2013 season will commence on Saturday, May 11th.
Public rides are offered at 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through May 26th. Beginning June 1st, with Canal Fulton's Heritage Day Celebration, public rides will be offered Tuesday through Sunday, throughout the summer, with no rides on Monday. The Heritage House & Olde Canal Days Museum will be open during the season on Saturday and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The City of Canal Fulton and the Canal Fulton Heritage Society have partnered to offer this historic attraction to the public. Dan, our veteran Percheron draft horse, will be partnered with Leo, a dapple gray Percheron, pulling the replica canal boat down a one- mile section of the Ohio & Erie Canal. Boat rides depart from the Port of Canal Fulton in St. Helena Heritage Park.
Public ride ticket prices are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and veterans, $5 for children age 6-13 years old, and free for children 5 years old & under (with a paid adult). Tickets can be purchased at the Canal Fulton Canalway Center, located at 125 Tuscarawas St., in St. Helena Heritage Park.
