The only national park in Ohio, Cuyahoga Valley National Park encompasses 33,000 acres along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron. Managed by the National Park Service, the park combines nature, history, scenery and recreation in one setting. In 2014, the national park received more than 2 million visitors, making it the 11th most visited national park in the country.

The Towpath Trail is open 24-hours-a-day here. Visitors are invited to begin their journeys at the main visitor center - the Boston Store.
