According to USA Today, “Known as the Stanford Backcountry campsites, the five primitive camping spots are reached via the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath trail that follows the historic route of the old canal. Campsite amenities include chemical toilets and drinking water. You must make a reservation to use the campsites. During the summer, kids 7 to 12 years of age may participate in a summer camp that allows them to enjoy activities in the park and spend the night in a tent. The weekend camps are sponsored by the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park (conservancyforcvnp.org). Reservations for the backcountry campsites are also handled by the conservancy.”
