Summer Activities: Water Edition


Summertime is the season for outdoor fun - whether it be family vacations, special events, or other festivities. With the warm weather, one thing we all enjoy is the water! In Northeast Ohio, there are numerous adventures to experience in the water. Here are seven spots to explore if you’re seeking a whimsical quest in or on the water!

Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve
Located at Lake Erie, Cleveland’s Lakefront Nature Preserve offers 2.5 miles of lakefront trails for visitors. Here you can hike, ride a bike, or sightsee. If you love animals, you’ll see lots of birds and other wildlife. Learn more about the preserve here.

 

Edgewater State Park
The 147 acre Edgewater Park is the westernmost park in Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Reservation. Edgewater Park features 9000 feet of shoreline, dog and swim beaches, boat ramps, fishing pier, picnic areas and grills, and a rentable pavilion. Learn more here.
