Download the Beaver Marsh Quest and grab a pencil before leaving home. Land in the Ira Trailhead parking lot at about 8 a.m. Rhyming clues will take you on an hour-long journey through nature as you follow the story revealed in the Quest.
This Canalway quest calls for you to be extra observant as you search for the hidden quest box. What’s winging overhead or gliding through the water? To learn more about what you might see, read more about Beaver Marsh on the Cuyahoga Valley National Park website.
After you have completed your Canalway Quest, it is time to fly on over to the Cuyahoga Valley Farmers Market just north of Ira Trailhead. Look for the event sign and police directing traffic to your left. In this case, the early bird gets the fresh, local produce, breakfast pastries, and more. Peck away! This local producer’s only market offers handmade goods, local food, live music, chef demonstrations and family activities. The Farmers Market runs May–October, Saturdays from 9 a.m.–noon, rain or shine.
Bring bug spray, binoculars, a pencil and camera on your Canalway Quest.
Remember your reusable grocery bags for the farmers market.
Plan to quest first, so your food won’t spoil and you’ll be at Beaver Marsh when wildlife is most active.
