• August 11, 2026: The Towpath Trail will be closed between Station Road Bridge and Red Lock Trailhead starting Tuesday, August 11 at 7:00 a.m. through Friday, August 14 at 4:00 p.m. for culvert replacements.

• July 31, 2026: Please be advised that the City of Akron is completing riverbank stabilization work on the Little Cuyahoga River at Memorial Parkway that requires crossing equipment over the Towpath Trail. Please use caution when going through this area.

• June 24, 2026: A contractor will be working near the Towpath Trail and Craig Pittman Trailhead for several weeks that may require periodic trail closures. Please follow all signage or barricades in place.
