Bike and Brew (Saturday, October 12)

Beer, food, bikes, and prizes. You had us at hello. Join Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition for their annual bicycle ride and family-friendly Oktoberfest! Start with a bicycle ride at 4 p.m. at Canal Lands Park on Dover-Zoar Road, traveling to Fort Laurens in Bolivar and beyond. Then, head back to Canal Lands and cross the street to the Canal Tavern of Zoar, where the Oktoberfest will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Enjoy live music, authentic German food cooked right at the tavern, good beer, and raffle prizes.

Boo at the Zoo (Saturdays in October)

Dress your little ghosts and goblins in their costumes for everyone's favorite non-scary Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo. Bring your own bag or bucket to collect treats from 12 themed treat stations located throughout the zoo. Purchase your tickets by Oct. 11 to receive an early bird discount! Plus, early bird ticket holders get early admission into the zoo at 10:30 a.m. Boo at the Zoo is presented by Acme Fresh Market.
